About/Contact Us

The club was established as Elland Liberal Club approximately around the turn of the 20th century, we know this because the extension to create the now concert room was completed in 1903, and was originally built as a billiard room with 5 tables. The games room was extended in 1990/91. The centre part of the club was originally Bankfield House from which the current name was derived when the club was de-politicalized in 1994. The club used to have it's own bowling green and allotments, which were lost to a bypass development in the 1980's.

The Concert Room with it's own bar, has a new wooden dance floor and carpet with a large stage, and has been recently decorated. With disable access, the room as been extensively used for charity events, for which we do not charge room rental for bona fide charities.
We hire the room out for private functions, please contact the Stewardess for full details.

The Bar/Games Room has two snooker tables, two pool tables and a dart board. Dominoes are played extensively in the bar area and other board games are available. We now have a delux Poker table and chips. This room also as a Juke Box which is regularly updated.

Upstairs we have another function room with a maple sprung dance floor, which is also available for hire. This room would be ideal for aerobics, children's club, meetings etc. There is no bar in this room. There are toilets and a kitchen available on this floor.
